Another little tip: when it doesn’t work at first… restart your server (using the lightning bolt at the topleft corner of the interface) to have your changed settings take effect, it worked for me

I have the same problem as the previous poster. Also latest ecommerce and WP. I can’t assign my products to any categories.

I happened to delete the lone default category, and now I can find no way to make any new categories, restore the default category, or assign products to categories.

I have completed all my variations, payment gateway settings, lots of product additions etc., so I really don’t want to have to reinstall. Very frustrating. I cannot find any documentation on this anywhere online. Does anybody have advice? Thanks!

The new connection node I created just have “Sftp files” and “Ssh shells” but no “Ssh Terminals”.
Do you what could be done to have the “Ssh terminals” item?

SSH access through Eclipse RSE doesn’t seem to be working for me. I have configured the proxy correctly since other plugins can connect to remote systems. SSH through putty seems to be working too. Here’s the error I see:

as you can guess you made it wrong
the alias should begin with “/” and be one word
so you have to rightclick on c:/myfolder/myfolder3 and edit alis like this: /folder3
you will see when you login the content of myfolder2 and “folder3″

i have just successfully installed wp-e-commerce plugins. i have a problem when tried to change product settings i.e. change the display all product drop down menu and other settings but never been able to save it. settings always back to the default.

Same here with the first comment, custom port is ignored. To solve it install the latest milestone 3.1 http://download.eclipse.org/dsdp/tm/updates/3.1milestones/

Uninstall the 3.0 and then add the link to the software updates. Finally install and will work like a charm.

It’s got examples of everything from blackjack, sound mixing, and forms. Color coded code, with the compiled swf results! It’s a cool looking flash based site also.

I have tried for hours to get this to work without success..

My folder structure is C:/myfolder/myfolder2 and I want to share C:/myfolder/myfolder3 and C:/myfolder/myfolder4 with the same user..
So, I set up an account with C:/myfolder/myfolder2 as the Home directory and then add in the other 2 folders. As you say, you can only see the Home folder. I then right click myfolder3 and add an alias called ‘alias’ I then right click the alias and enter C:/myfolder/myfolder3, click OK and then I test it.
You guessed, all I can see is the Home directory.. Can somebody please tell me where I am going wrong

I download real player 11 and i cant download any video movies online. I have recording manager enable to do it and I change setting and I still dont have the blue box on top of screen to download. I try to right click and then download with the recording manager but go for a few secs and nothing, so what am i doing wrong if any one can help me be surely appreciated regards Craig

Poster #4 mentions two ways to solve the Javascript validation problems in Eclipse.

I also tried a third one which didn’t work too well:

Create a fresh new “Web Javascript Project”.
Then copy any missing entries in .project and .settings (two hidden files inside each project) from the new project to your project, and refresh.

It almost works but there are some strange errors.

i am having a problem with Mac platforms: i have the free version of WP E-Commerce installed. Everything looks good so far! However, when i view the shop on a mac computer the pop up window for the product image thumbnail doesn’t show up at all….does anyone else have this problem? where do i start looking for the code to fix?

I am not quite sure about how RSE works especially with DStore.

I am looking to save files from eclipse via sftp – will the RSE work with that?

I am saving to a remote account on which I have ssh access to, but I don’t have admin privileges on the system, what can I do with RSE in this instance. I am looking to see what I can do with RSE only with stuff I can install on my shell account.

Does the dstore require an eclipse system to be stored on the remote server?

If you want a quick and dirty fix for this problem,open wp-shopping-cart in your plugins folder,open /js and delete the content of thickbox.js. Then find thickbox.css and lightbox.css in /plugins/wp-shopping-cart/ and repeat,leaving the files on the server.I say leave them there in case you ever deactivate nextgen so you can just refill those files and you won’t forget what goes where if they remain where they are,just empty.
Wp-shopping-cart uses other javascript like jquery for the fancy effects like the sliding cart and etc but doesn’t need those 3 files for anything(as far as i can tell so far) except for the thumb lightbox effect.
Yet nextgen gallery really needs those 3 files or it’s whole deal is wiped out.
So I just let the scripts from the nextgen plugin provide the lightbox effect for both plugins.
This saved me loads of time and both plugins are 100% fine.

is it possible to setup the wp-ecommerce-plugin so that the customer can add a line of text.
Example:
COMPANY NAME: Customer Enters this information
Financial Accounts – £2
Names directors – £2

Doe this make sense.

Hello: I don’t know what happened but I cannot edit any of the products. when I click add product it takes me back to the dashboard….I already deactivated the product, reenabled it, and uninstalled it….and reinstalled it….but no luck…

Also, it is pretty bad to have to go on a treasure hunt to get pretty standard functionality from an IDE. NetBeans has a godly out of the box experience compared to Eclipse. DB support and Scripting/Dynamic Languages support is first rate as of late.

Eclipse seems to have slowed down considerably in factorable improvements as its hype has died down.

Well, if people would realize what the blogger is saying.

He is trying to compare native support for these things. There are some Eclipse projects that are part of the standard distribution and from the Eclipse repositories.

Eclipse is great at Java out of the box, and with those plugins, but it is horrible for Enterprise Java development, and developing with some dynamic and scripting languages. JavaScript support is bad now.

Aptana is an Eclipse plug-in that used to be commercial, IIRC. It is not without its problems, and while it is much better than the Eclipse PSDT, I am not sure what the status of its development is, since I’ve been using NetBeans since the 6.0 version.

I think it’s 2008 and Eclipse hype has died down a bit. It is falling behind more and more comparative to its competition.
