Fix of Settings menu on WP e-commerce’s Products admin page

WP e-commerce plugin is a wonderful e-commerce plugin which enables WordPress to serve as a shopping site. However, you may notice there is a weird behavior on its Products admin page, the popup menu sitting behind the Product Details label after you press the Settings button as shown in this image

Here is how to fix the behavior:

  • Open admin-form-functions.php under your WP e-commerce plugin’s top directory
  • Go to line 1038 or search for $output.="<span id='settings_button', and add the following to “settings_button”s inline style:
    so that the line looks like this:
    $output.="<span id='settings_button' style='border: 1px solid black; width: 180px; background-color: #f1f1f1; position: absolute; display: none; z-index:0;'>";

So now your Settings menu will look like:

My settings: WordPress 2.5.1 and WP e-commerce 3.6.6 on Window XP

Eh, happy e-shopping

  2. Can you write any posts using Greek? If so what happens to the post?
    I am not sure if this is an issue of WP e-commerce but it could be your DB settings such as the one your mentioned above. I can try out something on my chinese OS to see if the same happens to me. I will let you know
