Tips on overriding your video’s audio

Sometimes you may want replace the original audio of the video with a new one while editing the video. One way of doing that is using Microsoft movie maker. Here is the steps to make that happen

  • Load your video into MMM
  • Drag and drop your movie clip(s) onto Storyboard/Timeline pane
  • Expand video task options in Timeline pane to show video task (Video, Transition and Audio)
  • Right click anywhere in the Audio row of your video and choose mute, this will disable the video’s audio
  • Now you can either Narrating your video or add an audio for your video

You are warned that the whole audio is muted. If you only want to edit some part of the audio, then you will have to extract the audio first, then edit your audio accordingly
